Vocational Training (Ausbildung)
Ausbildung, or apprenticeship, is a vocational training program in Germany. The Vocational Training Act of 1969 was amended in 2020, which introduced close cooperation between the Federal Government, federal states, and companies. This cooperation is providing young people with vocational training in recognized occupations across the country, which would be then recognized in a certificate. People who participate in the vocational dual system usually spend some days each week at a vocational school, while the rest of the days are spent at a company for practical lessons. This vocational dual training usually takes two to three and a half years. Participants will get a monthly income that is not less than €1000.
